Partner Alliance Manager-Jersey or Guernsey

The Partner Alliance Manager (PAM) is responsible for building and managing relationships with strategic business partners including Microsoft, HPE, VMWare and Citrix. The PAM is a key role within the commercial team and will have responsibility for developing commercial strategy to deliver partner services to our clients in collaboration with the sales and technical teams. This is a sales orientated role with a focus on driving consumption based revenue through Cloud Service Providers and other programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and drive the sales plan for consumption-based revenues through selling of partner and C5 based services. 
  • Ensure all practices understand how to claim partner revenues and benefits, are trained and comply with requirements.
  • Develop, execute and drive the partner channel strategy to deliver revenue targets against plan.
  • Developing and maintaining strategic partner relationships (e.g. Microsoft/HPE) and to position C5 as the supplier of choice in the Channel Islands.
  • Promote and raise awareness of C5’s partner services in the Channel Islands to position C5 as the leading provider of Microsoft, HPE (and other partners). Working collaboratively with the marketing, sales and technical teams.
  • Agreeing and ensuring C5’s target Microsoft and partner competencies are defined and maintained through collaboration with technical teams.
  • Drive awareness of partner products/services with teams across the business and helping develop knowledge/skills.
  • Develop and drive sales campaigns in collaboration with the relevant C5 teams to promote partner services externally and contribute to revenue targets.
  • Ensuring data/reporting on partner related sales is produced accurately and within timeframes as required by the business.

Experience:
Experience in B2B client facing roles and proven success in selling IT cloud services. 
Previous experience with Microsoft services/licencing and cloud services providers.
Experience in managing partner/vendor relationships within the IT sector.
Developing go to market strategy through collaboration with Microsoft (and other partners) to increase revenue and market share.
Developing value propositions and proposals to clients.

Technical Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft services and licencing.
Must be able to articulate features, benefits and process of adopting cloud technologies.

Non-Technical Skills:
  • Proven track record of building relationships with key stakeholders and understanding business needs and challenges.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales results against KPI’s.
  • Prior business development experience within a B2B environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills especially when explaining technical solutions in simple terms.
  • Prioritise and manage activities to build an active sales pipeline
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively ensuring follow through to deliver results.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences. 
  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen.
  • Highly organised. Able to prioritise a variety of critical short, medium- and long-term tasks for multiple activities. 
 Educated to A-level/Diploma level or equivalent.
